bazooka rex

Bazooka Rex Interactive is a new software development studio that was created with the goal of creating learning games for kids with visual/sensory issues like dyslexia and autism. The challenge for this project came from the need to balance the childlike nature of the company’s ethos with the need for visual accessibility in color and font.

Brief

Bazooka Rex started as one father’s project to make video games more accessible to his child with autism. The project began to spread into other software and programs, growing into a wider mission focused on inclusion creativity and play. It’s not about following rules or fitting into existing systems. It’s about building new ones that work better for more people.

The design needed to feel friendly and a little unpredictable. It had to invite curiosity without being overly polished or corporate. Shapes are soft, colors bold, and everything should bring joy and experimentation. The final look is built to feel fun and imperfect, like the people it’s made for.
